The Faculty of Hospitality Management & Catering Technology at M. S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS) aims to deliver competency-based education in hospitality and management with inter & multidisciplinary approach. The faculty adopts global educational practices with emphasis on development of critical, analytical and problem-solving abilities in its graduates and associates with a passion for lifelong learning and independent thinking. The faculty encourages creation of new ideas and concepts to meet the ever-growing needs of hospitality sector.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs) :- PEO 1. To provide students with knowledge of technical and management concepts to enhance competencies in Food and Beverage Production, Food and Beverage Service, Front Office and Housekeeping operations to distinguish the graduates from others as innovative managers and leaders in hospitality sector. PEO 2. To facilitate proficiency in communication, soft skills, foreign language that promotes inter-personal skills, business etiquette and enhances professional qualities to be globally competent. PEO 3. To provide research opportunities to develop critical thinking abilities in the students and enable them and augment creative and innovative abilities of students to meet the challenges of the constantly evolving hospitality industry. PEO 4. To inculcate professional ethics, strong human values and social skills for the development of leadership skills required for professional success in evolving global professional environments.
To discover, preserve, and disseminate knowledge and skills to provide future influencers of the hospitality industry equipped with advanced level of skills, knowledge, practical training, interpersonal and management skills to succeed in today's vibrant global business atmosphere .
Online public access catalogue provides search facility to locate books and other materials available in the library.
The Central Library has computers with LAN connectivity. Users can avail previous years examinations question papers, syllabus and institutional repositories.
Library subscribed 8 databases access to over 5000+ E-journals are provided to the users. E-Resource is provided in-campus and off-campus facility.
Central library arranges to borrow documents, which are not available in its collection, on inter library loan from other libraries for academic and research purpose.
